01 / THE IDEA

Make browsing feel
as good as the cakes look.

The goal was to turn a fictional bakery into a believable, easy-to-use digital experience. A visitor should be able to discover a cake, understand the product, and prepare an order message without getting lost.

This is a self-initiated portfolio project built with AI coding assistance. The brand, prices, and products are fictional; the demo does not accept real orders or payments.

02 / THE VISUAL DIRECTION

Warm, inviting,
and unmistakably sweet.

Cream and cocoa tones, expressive Fraunces headings, and clear DM Sans text create a bakery-inspired identity. AI-generated cake visuals bring the fictional catalog to life.

03 / THE EXPERIENCE

Built to be explored.

01

Find a favorite

Search six sample products, filter by category, sort by price, and open product details with ingredients and portion examples.

02

Make it yours

Add items, change quantities, remove products, and see the subtotal update. The cart stays available on the same device.

03

Preview the next step

Review a WhatsApp-style order summary. A placeholder phone number keeps the public portfolio demo from sending real orders.

04 / SMALL SCREENS, SAME CARE

The details matter.
At every size.

  • Responsive layouts checked down to 320 px
  • Readable product details and clear cart controls
  • Keyboard navigation and visible focus states
  • Motion respects reduced-motion preferences
  • Local fonts and images with no paid dependencies

Core shopping logic was checked with 11 passing tests. This is a frontend demo, not a production payment or inventory system.
